This is a product that I’m just plain stoked about! I am an iPhone junkie and I use it for everything. I even take it into the outdoors with me because I like to take notes while I’m out and about and keep journal entries of my adventures. The main reason I take it out, however, is because it’s my camera for photographs and video. The obvious downside to this is the danger of dropping your iPhone (done that), losing it (thought I did that), getting it wet (been there too), and just straight up ruining it. Enter the LifeProof case! This case is dirt proof, water proof, snow proof, and shock proof, making your iPhone completely protected without sacrificing any of its functionality or features.
Having gone through my share of cases (and iPhones) over the years, and I’ve tried just about everything out there, this case is far and away the best one I’ve ever owned! Not only do I feel like it protects my iPhone like never before, but it’s not as bulky as other protective cases. Compared to my old Otterbox Defender, for example, this case feels very slim and natural, like it isn’t even a case at all but part of the iPhone. The Otterbox was big, bulky, and while it was made for protection, it just felt inhibiting. I can’t express enough how much better the LifeProof case feels to me. I love the slim, sleek feel of a “naked” iPhone so I constantly wanted to take off other cases when I got home. Not once have I felt that desire with my LifeProof case. Again, it feels like it’s part of your iPhone!
Let’s get into the details of the LifeProof iPhone case. All of the holes, surfaces, and crevices of the iPhone are covered and protected, yet you have full functionality of features and functions. The bottom has a flip latch to allow for easy charging without having to remove the case itself. The headphone jack is also easily accessible and protected with a twist-in plug. The protective shell protects against everyday hazards and wear. This also keeps all the dust and lint out of your ports which is a huge plus! The case has a shock absorbing elastomer band all the way around the sides as well as shock absorption in the cover to protect against drops up to 6.6 feet. The rubber sealing port covers allow you to take your iPhone into the snow and even under water up to 6.6 feet! I have wanted so badly to do under water photography and video and now I can! I was skeptical at first, so I sealed the case without my iPhone inside and tested it out in the sink… Not a drop of moisture in the case! That’s when I got serious about testing the LifeProof case to the max…

As you can see, it lives up to its claims! Snowmobiling, snorkeling, snowboarding, and more. This case is LEGIT. And if that wasn’t enough for you, there’s more. All mic and speaker covers are water proof and enhanced by LifeProof’s ClearVoice and Sound Enhancement System technologies. This means that you’ll hear and be heard as if there was no case covering your iPhone at all. (This is huge for me because I tend to be a soft talker on the phone.) And the CrystalClear optical glass anti-reflective lens ensures that your picture and video quality and clarity won’t be compromised.

The bottom line: LifeProof was better than I expected. It lives up to its name and I couldn’t be happier with it. Honestly, I tried to find something to complain about or bring up as far as negatives, but I just can’t do it. This case is more expensive than a basic iPhone case, but for the features, capabilities, and FREEDOM that come with a LifeProof case, it’s worth the money. Whether your an outdoor adventurer or a stay-at-home mom, this case is for everyone! (Seriously, now your phone can survive rolling down a rocky slope or being dropped in the toilet by your toddler.)
