About the Role: Our premier client is seeking a Retail Sales Lead to join our team for the opening of our Maple Grove, Minnesota store. In this role, you will report to the Store Manager. You will provide leadership support and direction to the store team and successfully execute company strategies. You will help coach and motivate a team of brand advocates who in turn will provide a premium customer experience. You drive store profitability by upholding store operational and visual merchandising standards. You have a customer first mindset, and thrive in fast-paced, ever-changing entrepreneurial environments.
This is not a remote position. This is a contract position located in Columbus, OH
General Job Duties:
Model brand service standards to help drive excellent customer experience
Coach the store team on company standard of customer service, brand identify, product, and operations
Create and support a culture of customer engagement amongst your team
Provide a timely response to daily, weekly, and monthly tasks assigned by Store Manager
Ensure timely execution of distributed goals and tasks assigned to the sales staff
Execute opening and closing procedures
Become a brand expert
Assist in inventory procedures, allocation, and replenishment, third party orders, shipping, receiving, cycle counting etc.
Work with the Visual Merchandiser to uphold merchandising standards to create an appealing in-store experience
Maintain cleanliness of the store by executing and upholding cleaning standards
Operate the POS to complete all sales, returns and exchange transactions effectively and accurately
Assist with store events
Qualifications & Experience:
Positive attitude that goes above and beyond for customers.
1+ years of customer service and/or retail experience preferred.
Previous retail knowledge (POS, Inventory, customer service, and sales) preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of outdoor gear preferred.
Must love outdoors, hunting knowledge preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Stand for the duration of the shift.
Move and process shipments.
Ability to lift 45 lbs.

You will be responsible for inventory management including purchasing, receiving, stock room and floor replenishment, inventory KPI reporting, and back of house organization and cleanliness. You will provide customers with a premium experience through inventory availability. You value the process, organization, and making data driven decisions. Report to Store Manager
Build replenishment and floor set purchase orders
Manage shipments from PO to receipt to stock
Receive inventory and prepare for back stock and floor replenishment
Use key inventory metrics to advocate for assortment adjustments
Report out inventory KPIs
Keep a clean and organized stock room that allows for efficient replenishment
Assist with store events
Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience:
At least 1 year of retail inventory management experience preferred
At least 1 year of back of house experience preferred
Experience as store key holder preferred
Proven ability to use data to drive purchasing decisions
Experience in Microsoft Excel and Power BI preferred
Must be organized and clean
Ability to effectively and accurately complete POS transactions
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

General Job Duties:
Own execution of the store events also including participation in setting of strategy, scheduling, outreach, contracting, and in-store asset management
Take brand directive from the Retail Experience Manager and execute all creative, merchandising, and marketing needs in the store
